Mother's Day at the Geese
Book a Table!

Irish set dancing is a form of traditional social dance, where people dance in sets of either two or four couples. Set dancing is a great way to keep active, have a laugh and meet new people. Set to lively Irish tunes, you’re guaranteed to enjoy yourself. Dancers from all age groups, all fitness levels, and all levels of dance experience (including first-timers) are welcomed, and you don’t need to bring a dance partner to join in. All you need is a willing attitude and a comfortable pair of shoes. Shoes with a flat smooth sole are best but runners or ballet flats are also perfectly fine, just avoid sandals, high heels or heavy boots.

Matthew is well known in the Irish Set dancing community here in Australia. He has been dancing for over 25 years, and has been teaching classes, hosting workshops and running events for the last 10 years. Matthew takes pride in creating a fun and friendly space for everyone and will tailor the class to suit the skills and experience of those who come along. He’ll have you up and dancing in no time.Join us for a special December edition of Irish Set Dancing featuring live music from Ciaran O'Grady, Aifric Boylan and Donnach O'Grady, hosted by talented dance teacher Matthew Harriage.
